Leh, Sept 18: The University of Ladakh has wrapped up the 7th batch of its Entrepreneurial Training Programme for the Scheduled Tribe community, with a valedictory ceremony held at the Leh campus on September 17. The programme, running from September 1 to 17, provided practical training to 35 students from Government Polytechnic College, Leh, in manufacturing solar lanterns and LED bulbs.
Conducted in collaboration with Enterprising Ladakh, the initiative blended technical instruction with guidance in entrepreneurship and business development, aiming to prepare participants for both self-reliance and future enterprise.
Deputy Chairman of LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk, presided over the closing event, while Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha joined virtually. The gathering also brought together Dean Academic Affairs Dr. Subrat Sharma, Dean Research Dr. Sonam Joldan, other academic deans, and faculty from both the University of Ladakh and Enterprising Ladakh.
The university emphasized that the programme underlines its focus on building renewable energy expertise, fostering innovation, and advancing entrepreneurial opportunities for Ladakh’s youth.
