Padum, Sept 12: The Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre organized a special Veterans and Veer Naris Meet at Padum here. The event was aimed at honoring the service and sacrifice of ex-servicemen and Veer Naris while also ensuring their welfare concerns are addressed.
During the interaction, the regimental team engaged with the gathering in an open and cordial manner. Veterans and Veer Naris were updated about the latest government policies, entitlements, and welfare schemes available to them. Special emphasis was laid on making them aware of new pensionary benefits, health schemes, and various support initiatives rolled out for their well-being.
The team also took up on-the-spot resolution of issues, ensuring immediate redressal of grievances wherever possible. This proactive step was widely appreciated by the participants, as it reflected the regiment’s continued commitment to the community even beyond active service.
The meet not only served as a platform to strengthen the bond between serving soldiers and the extended regimental family but also reaffirmed the Army’s tradition of standing firmly beside its veterans and Veer Naris.
The event concluded with expressions of gratitude from the attendees, who lauded the Ladakh Scouts for their enduring support and concern for the welfare of those who have given so much to the nation.
