Dehradun, Apr 22: Kedarnath Dham’s doors swung open to devotees at 8 a.m. Wednesday, filled with Vedic chants and rituals as thousands gathered at the flower-decked Himalayan shrine—adorned with 15 quintals of blooms—echoing “Har Har Mahadev.”
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami led the first puja, inspected yatra arrangements, and highlighted a streamlined queue ensuring even the last devotee gets swift darshan—early batches finishing in five minutes.
Dhami called for a “Green Yatra,” urging pilgrims to keep the area plastic-free. Badrinath Dham opens April 23 at 6:15 a.m., after Yamunotri and Gangotri on April 19.
