Jammu, Apr 22: Rinki Singh from Jammu made India proud, representing the nation at the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum in New York from April 14-16, selected as one of just five students nationwide for her outstanding talent and leadership.
The prestigious global event gathered young leaders to tackle key issues like sustainable development, climate change, and youth empowerment. Rinki actively joined SDG discussions and networked with policymakers, diplomats, and international youth.
Daughter of retired Irrigation Supervisor Mohinder Singh and granddaughter of late Billawar Ex-MLA Dhian Singh, Rinki—from a small village—credited the Government of India for the opportunity, urging more youth to step up globally. Her community and teachers hailed the feat as inspiring national pride.
