Nubra, Apr 15: A multi-department welfare outreach camp under the “Jung sJabs” programme was conducted at Pinchimik village in Nubra Sub Division, bringing a range of essential government services directly to residents and reinforcing last-mile delivery in one of Ladakh’s remote belts.
The programme, held on April 13, was chaired by Tehsildar Sumoor Tashi Jorgais in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Panamik Mohamad Hussnain, as part of the Administration at Doorstep initiative aimed at improving access to welfare schemes and public services.
Addressing the gathering, the Tehsildar outlined the objectives of the outreach, urging villagers to actively engage with government programmes and avail the benefits on offer. He also interacted with residents, responding to queries and taking note of local concerns.
Officials from multiple departments delivered a wide spectrum of services on the spot, including Aadhaar registration, issuance of Resident, Scheduled Tribe and Domicile certificates, and enrolment under health and social welfare schemes. Beneficiaries were also assisted with ABHA ID generation, PMJAY registration, and APAAR ID creation, while farmers were facilitated with Kisan Credit Cards and PM-KISAN enrolment.
The camp further ensured distribution of essential medicines, reflecting a coordinated effort to address both administrative and healthcare needs in a single platform.
Participation from the local population was robust, with residents turning up in large numbers to access services that are otherwise difficult to obtain due to geographical constraints. Officials said the initiative helped bridge administrative gaps by enabling real-time service delivery at the village level.
