Kargil, May 23 : Director, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Ladakh, Tahir Hussain JKAS on Thursday reviewed the progress of the ongoing construction work of the Directorate Office in Kargil and stressed the need for timely completion of the project while maintaining prescribed quality standards.
Accompanied by Accounts Officer Mohd Hussain and Statistical Assistant Mohd Yaseen, the Director visited the construction site to assess the status of the ongoing works, particularly the internal furnishing and finishing components of the building.
During the inspection, Tahir Hussain took stock of the overall progress of the project and interacted with the concerned contractor and officials associated with the execution of the work. He directed the contractor to accelerate the pace of construction and ensure that all pending works are completed at the earliest.
Emphasising the importance of quality execution, the Director instructed officials to closely monitor the ongoing works so that construction standards are maintained in accordance with approved specifications.
He observed that the timely completion of the Directorate Office building is necessary for strengthening administrative functioning and improving workplace facilities for the department.
The visit formed part of the department’s ongoing monitoring mechanism aimed at ensuring the smooth and timely execution of infrastructure projects in the Union Territory.
