
Leh, Jul 15: In a continued push to build entrepreneurial capacity among retiring members of the armed forces, NIESBUD, in collaboration with the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR), organized an exclusive session at its Leh centre.
The session was led by Lt Col Geresh Tandon from the DGR Headquarters in Leh and featured in-depth discussions aimed at preparing ex-servicemen for the world of business. Participants engaged in lively interactions covering areas such as identifying viable business opportunities, navigating regulatory procedures, tapping into government support schemes, and forging connections with market networks. The session also laid out plans for future guidance and mentorship to ensure sustained support beyond the classroom.
Closing the day’s proceedings, Dr Aijaz Mir, Head of UTs for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, extended a vote of thanks. He highlighted the joint efforts of DGR and NIESBUD in supporting service personnel as they transition into entrepreneurial roles, reinforcing the institute’s ongoing dedication to self-employment and enterprise development.
