PATNA, Feb 25: BJP president Nitin Nabin unleashed a fiery broadside against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi Wednesday, accusing him of jetting off on 247 foreign trips without tipping off Indian security agencies and cozying up to “anti-India, pro-Pakistan” figures abroad.
The 45-year-old Bihar MLA, freshly minted as BJP chief last month, framed Rahul’s actions as part of a “compromised mission” inherited from his great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru and carried through generations. “Today, I expose the Nehru-Gandhi family’s habit of trading national interests for personal gain. Rahul struts like a babbar sher (lion), but it’s all hollow,” Nabin told reporters, triggered by Indian Youth Congress activists’ shirtless “PM is compromised” protest at last week’s AI Summit in Delhi—seen as a jab at US trade deal pressures under Trump.
Nabin dug up history: Nehru calling India’s population a “liability” and the 1962 China debacle; Indira Gandhi “giving up” PoK post-1971 victory; Rajiv fattening his accounts via Bofors; and Sonia as “super PM” from 2004-14 undermining Manmohan Singh. He named Rahul’s alleged foreign pals—George Soros, Ilhan Omar, Kenyan financier Shakir Merali—as proof of pro-Pakistan/China leanings.
“Rahul’s the poster boy of negative politics, but youth see through his rhetoric—they won’t buy it,” Nabin added, insisting the LoP’s security lapses and overseas jaunts spell compromised loyalty.
The salvo escalates BJP-Congress slugfest ahead of key state polls, with Nabin positioning his party as national interest guardians
