Erode (Tamil Nadu), Apr 19 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah fiercely criticized Congress and DMK for opposing the Women’s Reservation Bill in Lok Sabha, accusing them of denying women quotas in Parliament and state assemblies.
Speaking at a roadshow supporting BJP’s Modakurichi candidate Kirthika Shivkumar for the April 23 polls, Shah assured that PM Modi’s government would thwart their “conspiracy” and deliver justice, especially for Tamil Nadu women. He highlighted how their stance could reduce the state’s Lok Sabha seats from a potential 50% increase.
Shah also attacked DMK’s “dynastic politics,” targeting CM Stalin’s push for son Udhayanidhi as successor, and slammed the party on corruption and law-order failures. He predicted an AIADMK-BJP alliance under Edappadi K Palaniswami would end DMK rule, restore order, and revive Tamil Nadu’s glory.
The event drew enthusiastic crowds, with Shah urging massive support for Kirthik
