Leh, Aug 01: A group of 27 newly appointed probationer IPS officers from the 77th Regular Recruit batch visited the Ladakh Police Headquarters as part of their exposure tour to the Union Territory of Ladakh. The visit aimed to help the officers understand the operations and structure of Ladakh Police.
The officers were warmly received by Altaf Ahmed Shah, IPS, Commandant IR 25th Battalion and In-charge Head of Police, UT of Ladakh. During the welcome session, Shah provided an introductory overview of Ladakh Police and its organizational setup.
Senior officers of Ladakh Police were present during the session, including Piyush Fulzele, IPS, SSP Security; Stanzin Nurboo, JKPS, AIG (Prov), PHQ Ladakh; Sonam Dechen, JKPS, AIG (Personnel), PHQ Ladakh; Regzin Sandgup, JKPS, Additional SP Leh.
Sonam Dechen, AIG of Police (Personnel), delivered a detailed briefing on Ladakh Police and shared policing strategies followed in the region. The briefing was supported by a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation.
To mark the occasion, a memento from Ladakh Police was presented to the team leader of the visiting IPS officers by Altaf Ahmed Shah. He also extended his best wishes to all the probationers for a successful and fulfilling journey in the Indian Police Service.
The interaction concluded with a group photograph and informal exchanges between the officers and the hosts.
