Leh, May 12: The ongoing Yoga and Meditation Sessions at the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC), Leh, continued to witness enthusiastic participation on Tuesday, with wellness activities focusing on physical fitness, mindfulness and mental well-being drawing attendees from different sections of society.
The eleventh day of the programme featured a yoga session conducted by Rohit Rawat of The Yoga Institute, Mumbai, who guided participants through a series of practices aimed at promoting holistic health and balanced living.
Participants actively engaged in various yoga exercises designed to improve physical flexibility, mental calmness and overall well-being, organisers said.
In a parallel programme, a meditation session was held at the Shangri-La Pyramid Meditation Centre, where attendees participated in mindfulness-based activities centred on inner peace and emotional balance.
The meditation session encouraged participants to integrate mindfulness and meditation practices into their daily routines as part of a healthier lifestyle approach.
Officials associated with the programme said the ongoing wellness sessions have continued to receive encouraging public response and form part of a broader effort to promote preventive healthcare and mental wellness in the region.
The sessions are being organised alongside the Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of the Tathagata Buddha, which has witnessed a series of spiritual, cultural and public welfare activities across Leh over the past several days.
Organisers noted that the continued participation in yoga and meditation programmes reflects growing public interest in wellness-oriented practices, particularly in high-altitude regions where physical and mental health awareness is receiving increased attention.
