Jammu, July 11 : Three passenger trains operating on the Banihal-Baramulla rail section in Kashmir will remain cancelled from July 11 to July 25 due to scheduled track maintenance work, railway officials said on Friday.
The Jammu division of Northern Railway said the maintenance drive is aimed at strengthening the railway track and ensuring safer train operations during the summer season.
As per the schedule, services on the Banihal-Baramulla, Baramulla-Budgam, and Budgam-Banihal routes will remain suspended during the maintenance period.
Passengers have been advised to check the latest train updates before travelling through the IRCTC website, mobile app, or the Rail Madad helpline (139).
Railway authorities expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to commuters and sought their cooperation, stating that the maintenance work is necessary for improving the safety and reliability of rail services.
