JAMMU, Oct 7: The Indian Army on Wednesday repatriated a girl from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) through the Chakkan-Da-Bagh crossing point in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to official sources, the girl, identified as Samiya Azeem, a resident of Bains Gala, Seri, in Khuiretta tehsil of Kotli district, was apprehended by the Army in the Lam sector on October 2.
After completion of the required legal and procedural formalities, she was repatriated to the Pakistan side through the Chakkan-Da-Bagh crossing in Poonch on Wednesday morning.
The repatriation was carried out through the established cross-border mechanism following the completion of all necessary formalities.
