Kargil, Sept 12: “Delays in investigations will not be tolerated, and every officer must uphold transparency and accountability while ensuring timely justice,” said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kargil, Shree Raam R-IPS, at the conclusion of a three-day crime review exercise across the district.
The exercise, aimed at strengthening policing efficiency and expediting justice delivery, brought together all Station House Officers and supervisory officials from across Kargil. During the review, SSP Shree Raam conducted a detailed appraisal of the performance of each police unit under its respective jurisdiction. He directed officers to ensure the swift disposal of pending cases, stressing that delays in inquiries would not be tolerated. A professional and methodical approach was particularly emphasized for handling sensitive matters, along with the need for greater accountability and coordination within the force.

He also emphasized systematic follow-ups and effective communication, directing that progress reports on investigations be submitted regularly and monitored closely. Officers were further instructed to keep victims informed about the status of their cases and to ensure that police stations remain accessible to the public.
The discussions covered crime trends, traffic management, narcotics control, cybercrime awareness, and preparations for the upcoming winter season.
