KARGIL : A two-day training programme on health, nutrition and the Poshan Tracker application for Anganwadi Workers concluded at the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Office in Shargole on Monday, with officials highlighting the importance of digital monitoring and accurate data management in strengthening service delivery under Poshan Abhiyaan.
Organised under the supervision of the CDPO, Shargole, the programme focused on enhancing the technical and operational capacities of Anganwadi Workers responsible for implementing nutrition and child welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
The final day of the training was dedicated to the Poshan Tracker application and was conducted by State Coordinator for Poshan Tracker, Stanzin Angmo, who served as the resource person. Participants received detailed instruction on real-time data entry, monitoring of beneficiary services and resolution of common technical and operational challenges encountered during field implementation.
Practical demonstrations formed a major component of the session, enabling participants to gain hands-on experience in using the digital platform and ensuring accurate reporting at the Anganwadi Centre level. Officials said the exercise was aimed at improving data quality and strengthening monitoring mechanisms under the nutrition programme.
The concluding session was attended by Supervisors, the Junior Assistant and the Block Coordinator of ICDS Project Shargole. Anganwadi Workers from across the project area actively participated in the training and utilised the interactive sessions to seek clarifications on various aspects of the application.
Officials noted that the programme would contribute to timely reporting, improved data accuracy and more effective delivery of nutrition and welfare services. Participants also called for regular capacity-building initiatives to keep field workers updated on evolving digital tools and programme requirements.
The programme concluded with the CDPO, staff members and Anganwadi Workers expressing appreciation to the resource person for conducting the training and facilitating practical learning for frontline workers.
