NEW DELHI DEC 26 : Pakistan has significantly intensified its counter-drone capabilities in forward areas of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir along the Line of Control, following the impact of Indian strikes during Operation Sindoor. Intelligence inputs reveal fresh installations of counter-unmanned aerial systems (C-UAS) opposite the Rawalakot, Kotli and Bhimber sectors, indicating heightened concerns within the Pakistan army about a potential Operation Sindoor 2.0.
Over 30 dedicated anti-drone units have been deployed along the LoC by Pakistan in a strategic defensive move. Sources indicate the deployments are being executed under the 12th Infantry Division, headquartered in Murree, along with the 23rd Infantry Division, which controls brigades along the Kotli-Bhimber axis.
The deployment represents a focused effort by Pakistan to strengthen airspace surveillance and electronic warfare capabilities in close proximity to the Line of Control. The move comes as the Pakistan army displays growing anxiety about the effectiveness of Indian drone operations demonstrated during Operation Sindoor.
