JAMMU, Mar 31: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday expressed deep grief over the tragic drowning of three boys in the Tawi River at Nagrota, conveying heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
The bodies of all three boys—Bavish Koul (15), Aditya Pandit (15), and Sonam Dutt (16)—have now been recovered. They were swept away by a strong current near the Nagrota Sainik School on Sunday evening, triggering a large‑scale rescue operation by police, NDRF/SDRF, and local volunteers.
The LG spoke to senior officials and took stock of the search and rescue efforts, with a Lok Bhawan spokesman stating that the loss of the young lives was “heart‑wrenching” and that the administration stands in solidarity with the families during this difficult time.
