JAMMU, MAR 31: In a tragic incident near Sainik School, Nagrota, the bodies of all three boys who had drowned in the Tawi River have now been recovered, bringing closure to a tense rescue operation.
The victims were identified as Sonam Dutt, son of Sunny Dutt; Bavish Koul, son of Manohar Nath Koul; and Aditya Pandit, son of Shahji Pandit—all residents of Jagti Colony. Officials said the boys were playing in a nearby park around 4:30 PM on Sunday when they went missing, prompting family members to raise an alarm after they could not be traced.
Police launched an immediate search and learned that the boys had entered the Tawi River near Sainik School, where a strong current swept them away. Rescue teams, including NDRF, SDRF, and local volunteers, were deployed swiftly and retrieved the bodies of Bavish Koul and Aditya Pandit earlier, while the search for Sonam Dutt continued through the night. The third body was recovered later today, ending the search operation.
