Nubra, Mar 13: Jigmet Raftan, KAS, on Friday assumed charge as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Nubra, ushering in a change in the administrative leadership of the sub-division.
Raftan was received at the office premises in Diskit by Tehsildar Diskit Tufail Iqbal, KAS, Tehsildar Sumoor Tashi Jorgais and Naib Tehsildar Habibullah, along with officials and staff members of the SDM Office and Tehsil Office Diskit.
Residents from Diskit and Terchey villages also gathered to welcome the newly posted officer and convey their greetings on his arrival.
The gathering at the office complex reflected the administrative fraternity’s support for the incoming officer as he formally took charge of the responsibilities of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate in Nubra.
