Khaltse, Sept 19: The second day of the “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan Camp” was held on September 18 at NTPHC Lingshed, extending vital healthcare services to the local population under the supervision of Block Medical Officer (BMO) Khaltse, Dr. Shamim Ahmad.
The camp provided general consultations, dental treatment, cataract screening, nutritional counseling, and checks for non-communicable diseases and tuberculosis. In addition, awareness sessions addressed menstrual hygiene and adolescent nutrition, with particular attention given to pregnant women and young girls.
Altogether, 84 residents from Lingshed and adjoining villages, including school children, benefitted from the programme. Screenings for hypertension, diabetes, blood sugar, and blood pressure were conducted alongside antenatal examinations.
The initiative was carried out with the assistance of Dr. Irfan-ul-Haq, Medical Officer, a Dental Surgeon, and the paramedical staff of NTPHC Lingshed, who ensured smooth delivery of medical services and counseling to the participants.
