Leh, Apr 16: In a bid to expand administrative reach in remote areas, the “Jung sJabs” Programme was conducted at Chumathang village in Nyoma subdivision on Wednesday, bringing a range of government services directly to the doorstep of residents.
The outreach camp, chaired by Tashi Chhostak, Naib Tehsildar of Niabat Chumathang, was aimed at strengthening public interface with the administration while improving awareness and access to welfare schemes in the region.
Officials from various departments participated in the initiative, providing on-the-spot services, addressing grievances, and guiding villagers on procedural aspects related to government programmes. The exercise formed part of a wider administrative effort to streamline service delivery in far-flung areas where institutional access remains limited.
The programme witnessed active public engagement, with residents interacting with officials and availing services during the camp. Authorities observed that such initiatives help bridge information gaps and facilitate quicker resolution of issues at the local level.
The “Jung sJabs” Programme is being implemented across the Nyoma subdivision as part of a sustained strategy to deepen grassroots governance and ensure that welfare measures reach intended beneficiaries in remote pockets of Ladakh.
