KARGIL: A delegation representing the youth of Gramthang Menji met Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Kargil District President Mohd Hassanain Rocky and submitted a memorandum highlighting developmental concerns affecting young people in the area.
The delegation also congratulated Rocky on his recent appointment and discussed a range of issues related to youth welfare and community development.
Among the demands raised were the provision of sports equipment, promotion of sporting activities, creation of employment opportunities, improvement of educational and library infrastructure and the organisation of career counselling and skill development programmes.
Members of the delegation stressed the need for focused interventions to support youth engagement and enhance access to educational and recreational facilities in the village.
Rocky assured the delegation that their concerns would be taken up with the relevant authorities for appropriate consideration and follow-up action.
He appreciated the initiative taken by the youth representatives and described constructive community participation as essential for addressing local developmental challenges and advancing the interests of young people in the region.
