KARGIL : The Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department in Kargil accorded a warm farewell to Chief Inspector Anayatullah Rahi following his retirement from government service after more than four decades of service.
A farewell function was organised by the FCS&CA Employees Association at the office of the Assistant Director, Kargil, where officials and employees from across the district gathered to acknowledge Rahi’s contribution to the department.
Speakers at the event described Rahi as an officer known for integrity, punctuality, dedication and professionalism throughout his career.
Officials including Territorial Supply Officers and senior departmental officers recalled his role in strengthening departmental functioning and maintaining public trust in the institution.
The Assistant Director observed that Rahi’s commitment to duty had left a lasting impact on the department and would be remembered by colleagues for years to come.
In his address, Rahi thanked his colleagues and staff members for their support and cooperation throughout his service career and expressed gratitude for the farewell organised in his honour.
On June 2, departmental employees accompanied the retired officer to his native village Hagnis, where local residents and well-wishers organised a reception programme. Community members gathered to acknowledge his public service and contribution to society.
The Director, FCS&CA UT Ladakh, along with representatives of the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Kargil, paid tributes to Rahi’s long service record and wished him good health and success in his post-retirement life.
