Leh, Jan 20: Twelve cadets from Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh, have been selected to take part in the Special SNIC (National Integration Camp), scheduled to be held in Delhi from January 14 to January 29. The cadets will represent the Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Directorate at the national-level camp, marking a moment of pride for the institution and the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The Special SNIC brings together cadets from across the country with the aim of strengthening unity, discipline and mutual understanding among youth. During the camp, the EJM College cadets will participate in a wide range of activities, including cultural programmes, social service initiatives and leadership development exercises.
A major highlight of the camp will be the Prime Minister’s Rally, where the cadets will be given the opportunity to perform and present Ladakhi culture on a national level platform. The cultural presentation is expected to reflect the region’s rich traditions and unique heritage before a diverse audience from different parts of India.
The college administration has extended its support and encouragement to the selected cadets. Principal Prof. Stanzin Yangdol is set to congratulate the team and motivate them to uphold discipline and commitment during the camp. Associate NCC Officer Dr. Ujwala Koche and faculty member Dr. Tsering Spalzom have expressed confidence that participation in such camps helps young cadets develop leadership skills, a sense of responsibility and a deeper understanding of national integration.
The participation of EJM College cadets in the Special SNIC is being seen as a matter of pride not only for the college but also for Ladakh, as the cadets carry the identity and culture of the region to a national platform under the banner of the National Cadet Corps.
