Leh, Apr 26 : The Nyoma subdivision administration on Friday conducted an outreach camp in Rongo and Hanle villages, seeking to improve access to government welfare schemes and reinforce public engagement in remote areas.
Held under the “Jung sJabs” Programme as part of the Administrative at Doorstep initiative, the camp was chaired by Naib Tehsildar Hanle, Miss Kunzes Dolma. The exercise focused on delivering essential services at the grassroots while creating awareness about various government programmes.
Officials representing multiple departments participated in the drive, providing on-the-spot services and responding to queries from residents. The camp enabled direct interaction between the administration and villagers, with officials offering guidance on welfare schemes and addressing concerns related to service delivery.
Residents from both villages turned up in considerable numbers, availing themselves of the services and information disseminated during the programme. The administration noted that such engagements are intended to close gaps in outreach by taking governance mechanisms closer to communities residing in far-flung areas.
The initiative forms part of a broader effort to strengthen last-mile delivery of public services in Nyoma, where geographical remoteness often limits access to institutional support. Officials indicated that similar outreach programmes will continue to be conducted to ensure that welfare measures reach intended beneficiaries without delay.
