NUBRA: Deputy Commissioner Nubra, Mukul Beniwal (IAS), conducted an unannounced inspection of Government High School Hunder on Tuesday to assess the institution’s academic functioning and overall learning environment.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed student enrollment and attendance records, besides examining staff attendance to evaluate the school’s day-to-day functioning.
Interacting directly with students in their classrooms, Beniwal assessed learning levels through questions and discussions and observed ongoing teaching activities to gain first-hand insight into the academic standards being maintained at the institution.
Emphasising the importance of quality education and effective classroom engagement, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Principal and teaching staff to further strengthen academic standards and ensure that students receive meaningful learning opportunities aimed at improving educational outcomes.
He stressed the need for consistent monitoring of student progress and effective teaching practices to enhance overall academic performance.
Officials said the inspection was part of the district administration’s ongoing efforts to monitor educational institutions and ensure the delivery of quality education across Nubra district.
The visit was accompanied by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Nubra, Jigmet Raftan (JKAS).
The inspection concluded with a review of the school’s academic performance and discussions on measures to further improve the quality of education and student learning outcomes.
