Srinagar, Jun 28: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday said he will interact with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district as part of the Election Commission of India’s two-day visit to the Union Territory.
Speaking to reporters on his arrival at Srinagar Airport, Kumar said the interaction with BLOs, whom he described as the foundation of the Election Commission, aims to strengthen the electoral process at the grassroots level.
The CEC also said the delegation looks forward to experiencing the scenic beauty of Kashmir during the visit.
The Election Commission team is on a two-day tour of Jammu and Kashmir, and Kumar is expected to address a press conference in Srinagar on Monday.
