Kargil, Apr 24: In an effort to expand access to higher education and inform students about postgraduate opportunities, Sindhu Central University of Ladakh conducted an admission outreach programme at Government Degree College Kargil Sankoo Campus on Thursday, drawing active participation from aspiring graduates.
A visiting delegation comprising faculty members Dr. Garima, Dr. Tashi and Dr. Vysalhi engaged directly with students, outlining the university’s postgraduate offerings, including M.Tech, M.Sc and M.A programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. The team provided clarity on admission procedures, eligibility norms, scholarship avenues and potential career pathways linked to each course.
The session opened with a traditional ceremonial welcome, reflecting the cultural ethos of Ladakh, where the guests were honoured with customary scarves. The formal proceedings were conducted under the guidance of Nodal Officer Dr. Saleem Ahmad, who urged students to pursue advanced studies and make informed academic choices in a rapidly evolving educational landscape.
Anchored by Dr. Mustafa, the programme maintained a structured yet interactive format, allowing students to raise queries regarding admissions and professional prospects. The faculty responded in detail, addressing concerns related to course selection and future employability.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Fayaz, who acknowledged the contribution of the visiting team and the participation of students in making the outreach meaningful.
The initiative is seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen academic engagement in the region, while enabling students in Kargil to access information about higher education opportunities within Ladakh itself.
