Jammu: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed, Jammu and Kashmir, Anand Jain, IPS, on Monday chaired an interactive meeting with Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) recently adjusted in the Armed Zone. The session, held at the Conference Hall of Armed Police Headquarters, Jammu, was attended by Vinod Kumar, IPS, DIG IR Jammu, Commandants of Jammu-based battalions, and SSP APCR Jammu.
Opening the proceedings, ADGP Jain extended a warm welcome to the officers and conveyed his best wishes for their new assignments. He underlined the vital role of the Armed Police in maintaining law and order, supporting civil administration, and safeguarding public peace during operational and ceremonial engagements.
During the deliberations, officers shared their views and professional concerns, to which the ADGP assured timely redressal of all genuine issues. Appreciating their dedication, he called upon the officers to sustain high levels of discipline, integrity, and professionalism in all spheres of duty.
Urging the DySPs to approach their responsibilities with zeal and sincerity, Jain underscored the importance of teamwork, leadership, and effective communication in ensuring smooth functioning at the battalion level. He elaborated on the administrative, operational, and welfare-related duties expected from them, stressing the need for proactive and efficient management both in the field and in office operations.
Concluding the session, the ADGP expressed confidence in the officers’ capability to uphold the proud traditions of the Jammu and Kashmir Police. He encouraged them to work collectively towards strengthening organizational efficiency and reinforcing public trust in the police force.
