Culinary Contest held under PM POSHAN Scheme



Nyoma, Sept 19: SDM Nyoma, Kacho Adgar Ali, praised the dedication and creativity of mid-day meal workers while inaugurating the Zonal Level Cooking Competition at High School Chumathang. Highlighting the role of nutritious meals in student development, he encouraged participants to continue innovating and promoting healthy eating habits in schools.
The competition, organized under the PM POSHAN scheme, brought together cooks and helpers from 21 government schools across the Nyoma subdivision. Participants presented a variety of dishes that combined taste with nutritional value, reflecting their commitment to elevating the quality of mid-day meals for students.
Middle School Hemya emerged as the winner, followed by Middle School Tarchit in second place and Middle School Tsaga in third. The event aimed to foster skill development, creativity, and awareness of nutrition among those responsible for school meals.
Organizers emphasized that such competitions not only celebrate the hard work of mid-day meal staff but also reinforce the importance of wholesome diets in enhancing children’s overall well-being.
