Srinagar, Jul 19: The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of Jammu and Kashmir Police has launched simultaneous search operations across ten locations in the Kashmir Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into a terror-linked case, officials confirmed.
The coordinated searches are taking place in four districts — Ganderbal, Budgam, Pulwama, and Srinagar — and are aimed at uncovering sleeper cells and recruitment modules suspected to be operating covertly in the region. According to officials, six locations are being raided in Ganderbal, two in Budgam, and one each in Pulwama and Srinagar.
These intelligence-driven operations come amid growing concerns about the resurgence of underground networks facilitating militant recruitment and logistical support within the Valley. Authorities are intensifying surveillance and field activities to disrupt any such attempts and maintain regional security.
While the searches are currently underway, officials have not yet disclosed details of recoveries or arrests, indicating that the operation is still in progress.
The crackdown underscores the administration’s heightened focus on dismantling support structures linked to terror outfits and preventing the revival of militancy through local recruitment pipelines.
