Jammu, Mar 1: A 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck the mountainous Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of Sunday, officials said.
No reports of damage have emerged from anywhere, they added.
A Meteorological Department official noted the tremor hit at 01:25 am, with its epicentre located five kilometres below the earth’s surface at latitude 33.08°N and longitude 76.17°E.
