NYOMA: The Zonal Level Inter-School Tournament for middle schools of Nyoma and Durbuk zones concluded at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nyoma on Thursday, bringing to a close three days of sporting competition marked by enthusiastic participation from students across the two zones.
Students competed in various events, showcasing athletic talent, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the tournament. The competition served as a platform for young athletes to demonstrate their skills while promoting healthy rivalry among participating schools.
The valedictory function was attended by Principal, GHSS Nyoma, Jigmet Dorjay as Chief Guest, while Zonal Resource Person (ZRP) Nyoma, Phunchok Stobdan, was present as Guest of Honour.
Addressing the participants, the dignitaries commended the students for their discipline, competitive spirit and commitment to sports. They highlighted the role of such events in nurturing physical fitness, confidence and leadership qualities among young learners.
Winners and runners-up in various events were felicitated during the closing ceremony.
