Leh, Sept 22: Patients and attendees at SNM Hospital participated in a yoga session today aimed at enhancing physical and mental well-being as part of the ongoing “Swasth Nari Shashakt Pariwar” initiative, observed from September 17 to October 2, 2025.
The session was led by Ms. Phunchok Dolma, Yoga Instructor at PHC Basgo, who guided participants through exercises designed to improve flexibility, strengthen the body, and calm the mind. Breathing techniques and relaxation methods were demonstrated to help reduce stress and restore emotional balance.
Ms. Dolma emphasized the relevance of yoga in everyday life, particularly for women, noting that the practice supports inner strength and self-confidence. “Yoga not only promotes physical health but also nurtures inner strength and self-confidence, which is essential for the empowerment of women and, in turn, the well-being of families,” she said.
Attendees responded positively to the session, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn routines that can be continued at home. The program highlighted the role of holistic practices like yoga in preventive healthcare and family wellness.
