New Delhi, April 10 : Vice President C P Radhakrishnan released the latest edition of the Indian Constitution in Sindhi language—using both Devanagari and Persian scripts—marking a milestone in linguistic inclusivity.
Addressing a gathering on Sindhi Bhasha Diwas, he greeted the Sindhi community and praised the language as one of the world’s oldest and most melodious, blending Vedantic philosophy with Sufi thought to promote oneness, love, and brotherhood.
Radhakrishnan called the Constitution the “living spirit” of India, safeguarding rights and guiding democracy. He noted this as the first Devanagari-script Sindhi edition since Independence, joining recent translations in Bodo, Dogri, Santhali, Tamil, Gujarati, and Nepali to celebrate India’s diversity
