Amaravati, May 14: Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday welcomed Uber’s plans to expand its CoE in Visakhapatnam and praised its interest in Amaravati’s emerging quantum technology ecosystem.
Naidu met Uber’s global leadership team, led by CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, along with Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, to discuss technology, mobility, innovation, skilling, and the future of urban transportation.
“It was a pleasure to meet the Uber global leadership team led by Khosrowshahi. I am delighted that Uber plans to expand its Centre of Excellence in Visakhapatnam and considers Andhra Pradesh a strong talent hub for its operations across the country,” Naidu said in a post on X.
The CM noted that Uber had also expressed interest in leveraging Amaravati’s emerging quantum technology ecosystem to develop advanced logistics management algorithms.
Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh described the interaction with Uber’s leadership team as insightful, saying the discussions covered a wide range of topics related to mobility, technology, innovation, skilling, and the future of urban transport.
“Had a wonderful dinner interaction last evening with the Uber global leadership team led by Khosrowshahi, along with the CM. We had engaging discussions on a wide range of topics—from technology and mobility to innovation, skilling, and the future of urban transportation,” Lokesh said in a post on X.
He added that it was always insightful to exchange ideas with global leaders shaping the future.
