Leh, May 14: Cadets of the NCC unit of Government Eliezer Joldan Memorial College delivered an impressive performance at the 10-day Annual Training Camp (ATC) held at LARC Phyang, securing top positions across several competitive events and bringing multiple honours to the institution.
Around 89 cadets from the college participated in the camp, conducted from May 5 to May 14, where training sessions focused on discipline, leadership, physical fitness, teamwork, firing, drill and adventure-based activities. The EJM College contingent was accompanied by Associate NCC Officer Lt Dr. Ujwala A. Koche.
The college contingent emerged winners in boys’ and girls’ volleyball events, boys’ tug of war, girls’ tent pitching and boys’ guard of honour competitions. The girls’ teams also secured runner-up positions in tug of war and guard of honour categories.
Adding to the college’s achievements, cadet Kaniz Fatima was adjudged “Best Firer” during the firing competition held as part of the camp activities.
According to organisers, the cadets also demonstrated strong performances in drill, discipline and other training exercises conducted during the programme, reflecting sustained preparation and coordination during the camp.
Principal Stanzin Yangdol congratulated the cadets and NCC staff for their performance and appreciated their discipline, commitment and hard work throughout the training camp.
Associate NCC Officer Ujwala A. Koche commended the enthusiasm and dedication shown by the cadets and encouraged them to continue participating actively in NCC activities aimed at personality development, leadership training and national service.
The camp concluded with prize distribution and cultural programmes attended by NCC officers, instructors and cadets representing various educational institutions from the region.
