Leh, Apr 22: A multi-department outreach camp under the “Jung sJabs” programme concluded on Tuesday at Tirith village in Nubra, delivering a wide range of government services directly to residents as part of the Administration at Doorstep initiative.
Chaired by Tehsildar Sumoor, Tashi Jorgais, the programme focused on expanding access to welfare schemes, improving awareness, and ensuring timely service delivery in remote areas. Officials reported that multiple departments collaborated to provide on-the-spot assistance, addressing long-standing public grievances and administrative needs.
Key services offered during the camp included issuance of Resident Certificates, Revenue extracts, Scheduled Tribe and Domicile certificates, as well as enrolment for health and welfare schemes such as Ayushman Bharat and PMJAY. Residents also availed facilities for ABHA ID generation, Aadhaar updation, APAAR ID creation, and registration under PM KISAN. Financial inclusion efforts were supported through facilitation of Kisan Credit Cards, while healthcare teams distributed essential medicines.
Departments such as Revenue, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Health, Agriculture, Horticulture, and the District Social Welfare Department Leh participated actively, deploying officials to assist villagers and resolve issues at the site itself.
Addressing the gathering, the Tehsildar underscored the importance of decentralised governance and urged residents to take full advantage of the schemes available. He noted that such outreach programmes are designed to bridge administrative gaps and bring governance closer to the people.
The camp drew a strong response from local residents, reflecting growing awareness and engagement with government initiatives in the region. Officials said the participation levels indicate an increasing reliance on such doorstep services in remote parts of Ladakh.
