Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Mar 27: The much‑anticipated Surya Tilak ritual was performed at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple on Ram Navami, with specially engineered mirrors diverting sun rays to gently fall on the forehead of Ram Lalla, symbolising the deity receiving the blessings of the sun. Elaborate rituals and special aarti marked the occasion at the Ram Mandir, drawing huge crowds.
Lakhs of devotees have flocked to Ayodhya today to offer prayers at the Ram Temple, making the Ram Navami celebrations one of the biggest religious gatherings in the city’s recent history, amid heightened security and special arrangements by the local administration.
