Leh, Oct 10: Students from PM Shri Government High School Thasgam, Drass, recently embarked on an educational tour to the University of Ladakh, Kargil Campus, and the NHPC Hydro Power Project, guided by Headmaster Haji Ali Akbar.
The tour aimed to provide students with practical exposure to higher education and engineering infrastructure, enabling them to understand academic pathways and technological developments firsthand.
At the University of Ladakh, students engaged with faculty members, exploring various academic programs, research opportunities, and campus life. The visit offered them a closer look at the academic environment and potential career options in higher education.
The group also visited the NHPC Hydro Power Project, where they observed the process of hydropower generation and gained insights into sustainable energy production and modern engineering practices.
Such initiatives are designed to broaden students’ perspectives, encourage interest in higher education, and assist them in making informed career choices. Headmaster Haji Ali Akbar emphasized the importance of experiential learning in shaping students’ future aspirations.
