Sankoo, Oct 03: Emphasizing community service and social responsibility, students of Government Degree College Sankoo Campus, Kargil, spearheaded a series of initiatives under the Sewa Parv celebrations, including a major cleanliness drive and a donation campaign for underprivileged children.
Guided by Nodal Officer Prof. (Dr) Saleem Ahmed, the Students’ Council of the campus played a proactive role in implementing the activities. A comprehensive cleanliness drive was conducted across the college premises and surrounding areas, emphasizing the importance of hygiene and environmental upkeep.
In a parallel effort to support education and welfare, students organized a donation drive. Collected books were contributed to the college library to enhance its academic resources, while stationery items were provided to the Office of the Warden at Yateem Trust, Lankerchay, for the benefit of underprivileged children.
These initiatives underscore the college’s commitment to instilling values of service, care, and social responsibility among its students, while simultaneously contributing to the welfare of the local community.
