Jammu, Feb 10: wDr Ranjeet Singh Kotwal (JKAS), a 2011 batch officer presently posted as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chenani, has been unanimously elected as the Interim President of the All Jammu & Kashmir Junior Scale JKAS Association.
The decision was taken on Tuesday by the Interim Executive Body of the association.
According to the information available, the Interim Executive Body comprises representatives drawn from all JKAS batches from 2011 to 2025.
The election of Dr Kotwal was carried out with complete consensus among the members of the interim body, reflecting a collective agreement across different service batches of the Junior Scale cadre.
Dr Kotwal is currently serving in the district administration as SDM Chenani and belongs to the 2011 batch of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service.
The newly constituted interim leadership is expected to oversee the functioning of the association during the transitional period, with participation from officers representing the entire batch range from 2011 onwards up to 2025.
