KARGIL: The nominated member of the 5th Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Advocate Reyaz Ahmad Khan sworn in today at Tourist Facilitation Centre, Kargil in a function organized by Election Authority, Kargil.
Principle, District and Session Judge Kargil, Spalzes Angmo who is prescribed authority administered oath to the fourth nominated member Adv. Reyaz Ahmad.
On the occasion of the oath taking ceremony, Principle, District and Session Judge Kargil, Spalzes Angmo; Deputy Commissioner, CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar; Senior Superintendent of Police Nitin Yadav; Director Food and Sports, Tahir Hussain Zabdavi; Director RDD Sajjad Qadri; Councilors, religious clerics from Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil, besides district officers, and others were present.
Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, is one among the two Autonomous District Councils of Ladakh union territory. LAHDC Kargil administers the Kargil District of Ladakh, India.
The Hill Council is endeavoring to register prompt monitoring of the developmental works by ensuring transparency and accountability in the district administration. Work plans are being made at the grass root level taking the Councilors, Panches and Sarpanches into confidence and are further reviewed at the Block Headquarters in the presence of the Chief Executive Councilor and Executive Councilors.
In the 30 Councillors team, 26 Councillors are elected from the respective constituencies, 4 Councillors are nominated from the Principal Minority and Women folk.
