Chandigarh, Jun 26 : The Punjab government on Friday announced that regular office timings for all state government departments, boards, corporations and institutions will be restored from July 1.
An official spokesperson said government offices across Punjab and Chandigarh will function from 9 am to 5 pm beginning next month.
Office timings had been changed temporarily to 7:30 am to 1:30 pm from May 25 due to extreme heat.
The summer schedule will remain in force till June 30, after which all government offices and institutions will resume their normal working hours, the spokesperson added.
