KARGIL: University of Ladakh Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha on Saturday reviewed the progress of ongoing construction works at the Kargil Campus and directed executing agencies to expedite project implementation while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

During a visit to the campus, Prof. Kushwaha conducted a detailed inspection of infrastructure works underway and assessed the pace of construction. Emphasising the importance of timely execution, he instructed the concerned authorities to complete the projects within the stipulated timeframe without compromising construction quality.

The Vice Chancellor said the expansion of academic infrastructure remains central to the university’s efforts to create a modern and conducive learning environment for students and faculty members across the Union Territory.

Apart from reviewing physical progress on site, Prof. Kushwaha also interacted with officials and examined various operational and administrative aspects related to the functioning of the Kargil Campus. He reiterated the university administration’s commitment to strengthening institutional infrastructure in line with the growing academic requirements of the region.

During the review, senior university officials briefed the Vice Chancellor on ongoing developmental activities and institutional preparedness. Dr. Mehboob Ali presented updates on infrastructure development and administrative arrangements, while Dr. Jaffer Ali Khan apprised him of examination-related preparations and academic coordination.

The presence of senior functionaries enabled a comprehensive assessment of both infrastructural development and academic readiness at the campus.

The visit forms part of the University of Ladakh’s continuing efforts to monitor developmental projects on the ground and address implementation challenges through regular review mechanisms. The university has been pursuing the expansion and upgradation of facilities across its campuses to strengthen higher education infrastructure and improve academic services for students in Ladakh.

Prof. Kushwaha’s visit underscored the institution’s focus on ensuring that ongoing projects are completed efficiently and aligned with its long-term vision of enhancing educational opportunities and academic excellence in the Union Territory.
