Rajouri/Jammu, Mar 8: A fight broke out among prisoners at a jail in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Saturday after two inmates got into a heated argument.
The clash started between one prisoner from Kashmir and another from Rajouri, but it quickly spiraled, drawing in other inmates, officials said.
Things escalated when some prisoners hurled stones at guards, forcing authorities to step in and restore order.
Extra staff were rushed in, and security was beefed up inside and around the facility as a precaution.
