Kargil, Aug 29: PM SHRI Government High School Poyen observed National Sports Day 2025 paying tribute to Major Dhyan Chand an iconic figure in Indian hockey.
This national celebration was aimed to promote the importance of incorporating sports and physical activities into daily life of students for overall fitness.
Ashraf Ali Sagar, Headmaster PM SHRI Hugh School Poyen graced the occasion as chief guest. The event included sports activities like basketball ball, volleyball, spoon race and tug of war.
Headmaster Ashraf Ali Sagar and Physical Education Teacher Shamim Ahmad emphasized the significance of physical fitness and nutrition for maintaining overall wellness.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Mumtaz hyder followed by speech from students Fatima Zahra, Hakima Banoo and Amina Banoo. The event concluded with distribution of momentous to participants and vote of thanks by Master Mohd Mussa who moderated the event.
