GUWAHATI, APR 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Manohari Tea Estate in Dibrugarh district Wednesday, plucking leaves with women workers and praising their role in Assam’s pride.
On his day-long trip to poll-bound Assam for two BJP campaign rallies, Modi spent 30 minutes interacting with 19 women in traditional white-red sarees. He listened to concerns on education, healthcare, and wages, followed by a Jhumur dance and group selfie.
“We are very proud of the efforts of each and every tea garden family. Their hard work and perseverance have enhanced Assam’s pride,” Modi posted on X, sharing photos.
Later, he heads to rallies in Gogamukh (Dhemaji) and Behali (Biswanath).
