NEW DELHI, Feb 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the new Prime Minister’s Office complex, Seva Teerth, along with Kartavya Bhawan 1 and 2, calling them pivotal milestones in India’s march toward ‘Viksit Bharat’ by prioritizing people’s aspirations over colonial legacies.
At the event with ministers and bureaucrats, Modi contrasted the structures with British-era South Block and North Block—once symbols of imperial rule—stating these modern facilities embody “citizen-centric governance and national progress.”
“Seva Teerth, Kartavya Bhavan 1 and 2 mark an important milestone in India’s journey towards Viksit Bharat,” he emphasized. “The decisions made here will serve as the foundation for advancing the ambitions of 140 crore citizens, rather than reflecting the will of a monarch.”
