Srinagar, Jul 22: With the number of sanctioned cases under Mission YUVA crossing the 1000 mark, J\&K Bank intensified its outreach by hosting two dedicated events aimed at nurturing young entrepreneurs—‘Udyami YUVA Day’ in Jammu and ‘Roz-e-Yuva’ in Baramulla.
The dual events, organized as part of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Mission YUVA initiative, showcased the ongoing efforts to promote self-employment and entrepreneurship among the region’s youth. Over 70 sanction letters were distributed, and commercial vehicle keys handed over to selected participants, signaling the bank’s continued commitment to supporting enterprise-driven growth.
At the Jammu function, J\&K Bank’s Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, while addressing a packed audience of aspiring entrepreneurs, emphasized the bank’s support for youth-led business ideas. “Mission YUVA is a bridge between ambition and opportunity. We want to ensure that the energy and ideas of our youth are not held back by lack of access,” he said, calling on bank teams to accelerate processing of applications under the scheme.
The event, attended by government and bank officials including ACR Rajesh Kumar, GM & Divisional Head Sunit Kumar, Zonal Head Rajesh Dubey, and Dy. Director Employment Sunaina Saini, focused on collaboration to build a more inclusive economic environment.
Simultaneously, in Baramulla, Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa underlined the importance of Mission YUVA in tackling unemployment and boosting entrepreneurial culture. Joined by Zonal Head Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat and other district and bank officials, the event reaffirmed the collective resolve to back new ventures driven by local youth.
The two gatherings also served as public acknowledgments of the coordinated efforts between J\&K Bank and various government departments. Speakers from both venues credited this partnership for making the mission’s benefits accessible and visible on the ground.
Participants who received support under the program expressed appreciation for the guidance and encouragement they received, describing it as timely and motivating. The events closed on notes of encouragement and assurances of continued institutional support, with zonal heads in both regions reiterating the bank’s resolve to keep investing in youth entrepreneurship as a way forward for the region’s progress.
